Six women, their dreams and a fight for emancipation throug work. Zina, Cherifa, Halima, Fatima, Mina and Jamila live in the rural areas of Morocco and Tunisia and are bond by a common aim: creating agricultural cooperatives to merge their ancient knowledge with the development of new products destined to the market and with the aknowledgement of their professional and gender identity. This film comes from and is inspired by the "Eco de Femmes" project that supports gender equality through work in the Maghreb area.
Carlotta Piccinini was born in Bologna on 9 August 1979. She is a director, video artist and author who experiments different styles and narrative languages. Since 2010 she's been combining her passion for aesthetics and digital technologies with her commitment to human rights working as live audio/video performer and director of social documentaries. Her works have been exhibited in Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Mexico, Brasil, USA, Belarus and Algeria. From 2011 she is vice-president of the EleNfant association.
