Against the backdrop of the constant changes in the world power structure, I Want to See the Manager traces the connections between economic rise and fall through seven paradigmatic cases: India, Bolivia, China, United States, Italy, Thailand and Venezuala. The film compares these local experiences and puts them into the context of a global economy trying to analize the concepts of growth and decadence.
Hannes Lang worked as production assistant in Sud Tirol. From 2004 to 2008 he attended the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and graduated with the documentary Leavenworth. He currently works as director and cinematographer. His film Peak (2011) won the Goethe Institute Documentary Film Award.
