During Emile’s birthday, an event will bring out his old past of soldier. A past which some part of the family would rather forget…

Biography/Filmography:

Bruno Collet was born in 1965 in France. After receiving his degree at the Fine Arts Academy at Rennes, he worked on sculpture and 3D objects exhibitions. Then he develops an interest in animation: Le Dos au mur, his first animation short, was produced in 2001 and awarded at International Critic’s Week in Cannes. His first stop‐motion animation short is Calypso is Like So (2003). Collet's work pays tribute to the world of classic movies and includes numerous homages and in‐joke references to iconic cinema scenes and characters. Employing sight gags, slapstick and a touch of macabre humour, the R.I.P. shorts reflect his unique and exhilarating animation technique. The Day of Glory (2007) is his first war short, followed by His War.
