A young husband, and soon-to-be father, manages a sleazy motel with his wife. When one of the night’s customers leaves behind an unexpected mess, the husband's keen eye for opportunity and quick thinking may change their fortunes forever.
Biography/Filmography:
JULIO O. RAMOS (Lima, 10/31/1980) Student EMMY, BAFTA and DGA award winner for his films EL BOLERITO (THE SHOE SHINER) and ¡UNA CARRERITA, DOCTOR! (A DOCTOR’S JOB), both films produced at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and TV where Julio pursues his MFA in film directing. ¡UNA CARRERITA, DOCTOR! is Julio’s first narrative project shot in his homeland, and besides earning numerous awards, it screened over 300 venues world wide including world-class film festivals Telluride, Habana, Huesca, Vancouver and Shanghai. DETRÁS DEL ESPEJO is Julio’s most recent work and his graduating thesis project at UCLA. It World- Premiered at the 2012 Guadalajara Film Festival and picked up the BEST OF FEST award at the 2012 Palm Springs ShortFest. Currently in the international festival circuit, this short film is an excerpt of a feature film that Julio currently develops.
