Branko undertakes his last journey. Prior to his passing, he makes the final arrangements for his funeral, and attempts to enjoy his remaining days as much as possible. Though he experiences emotional ups and downs, he works to remain in good humor as those around him admire his perseverance. Finally, Branko and the people close to him must say their goodbyes. With reserve and visual precision, THE LAST CHAPTER follows Branko in his remaining days, and offers an experience of his preparation to venture onto the ultimate unknown territory.
Biography/Filmography:
*1984 in Minneapolis, USA. After high school Maximilian studied at the SORBONNE UNIVERSITY in Paris. Following he started working as a directors assistant, unit production manager and production assistant. Since 2003 he created numerous films and videoinstallations. 2007 he started his studies at FILMAKADEMIE BADEN-WÜRTTEMBERG. In 2010 Maximilian founded the production company AMERIKA FILM, with which he produced the german-brasilian co-production BRASA. For his film THE LAST CHAPTER he worked several months as an orderly in a hospice. In fall 2010 and spring 2011 Maximilian attended COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY in New York City for a one-year scolarship.
