The film tells the magical experience of little Alice, while at the theatre she watches the representation of the journey of her namesake “Alice in Wonderland”. When she ventures behind the scenes, however, tricks and magic turn into tears, reality gets the upper hand and she sees the world through very different eyes...
Biography/Filmography:
Marianne Elliott directed many theatre works, staging a wide range of authors, from Shakespeare to Zola to Ibsen. Among the works staged for the National Theatre, with which she collaborates, the most successful is “War Horse”, appreciated by both the critics and the public, which consecrated her once for all as one of the most brilliant figures in the contemporary cultural scene.
