Faith can move mountains. Twice a year, 70 Christian singles go on a pilgrimage to Italy, to ask Saint Anthony for a partner and a healthy marriage. The trip starts in a bus from Munich, across the Alps to Padua, where the cathedral of St. Anthony is located. Birgit, Petra and Brigitte are part of the group. Three women who couldn’t be any more different from one another in their experiences and attitudes toward life. But all three women have the same goal: to finally find the love of their life with St. Anthony’s help. Maybe Mr. Right is in the bus, the prerequisites seem to be in place: for everyone here, their religious belief plays an important role in life. The singles group attends seminars with Christian backgrounds, the Catholic Church is trying to live up to the needs of its followers. But how contemporary can such self-help groups be? And will St. Anthony hear their pleas?
