It’s Easter and Nizar, a Palestinian child introvert and very religious, decides to compete with the children of his village in the traditional game of “breaking eggs”. His purpose is collecting as many eggs as possible to take them to the church and offer them to Jesus. Nizar manages to collect many eggs and to gain the other children’s respect. However Nizar cheats and the danger of being unmasked looms over him. When this happens, Nizar starts to have doubts about his faith.
Biography/Filmography:
Firas Khoury (Palestine, 1948-9 graduated at the School of Cinema at the University of Tel Aviv. In 2008 he won the Adam Fint Treatments Competition with the screenplay of “The Flag”, during the Tel Aviv 12th International Student Film Festival, and in the same year he attended the Talent Campus of the Berlin Film Festival, Among his works there are: “Islamic” (2005), “Hit Man”, “Asi & Gil”, “Music from the heart” (2006) and “Sever days in Deir Bulus” (2007).
