“Mesecina”: 1. a music group – they both like it. A music group that doesn’t really exist. 2. a short film about an ill boy who meets a girl or about an ill boy who believes that he can live normally. But he can’t. Genre fiction.

Sofia Exarchou was born in Athens in 1979. She studied electrical engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and filmmaking at the Stavrakos Film School. She took an MA in “Études cinématographiques et audiovisuelles” at the “École Supérieure d’Audiovisuel” in Toulouse, France. She has worked as an assistant director in feature films(“Strella”-Berlinale Panorama 2009, “El Greco”-2007, “Black Field”–2009 etc).
