This film has won because the director was able to tell us, in a deep and moving way, how two refugee brothers lived their exile, while trying to build a future without disowning their roots. All the actors, and the two protagonists in particular, offered an extraordinary performance.

Special Mention for the best direction

This film has been specially mentioned by the jury because the author faces a difficult theme like adolescence and parent-child relationship, showing an accomplished and experienced directing style, and besides, supported by a very convincing main actress.

This film has won because it is well balanced out, it is concise, grown-up and has a rhythm that keeps the spectators at the edge of their seats for the whole of the incredibly tense 15 minutes. A "noir" that could be the pilot for a successful tv series.
