In Hamburg harbour, five people's paths cross against the backdrop of Queen Mary 2, a night that will change their lives forever. A stowaway from Africa needs help to find his family. A terminally ill customs officer wants to make peace with his daughter before it is too late. A young Vietnamese sailor welcomes his newborn child in his home faraway.

Markus Beck (Monaco, Germania, 1968) got a diploma in 1997 at the Munich Academy of fine arts. From 1998 to 2006 he worked as director, production designer, illustrator, and writer. In 2006 he graduates ad film director at tje Hamburg Media School. Filmography: “Isis and Osiris” (2003), “Wer weiss” (2004), “Abschiedslied” and “Ein Abend außer Haus” (2007, Hamburg Media School).
