True story of an old sailor and a fisherman in a small sea hamlet in southern Sicily seen through a boy’s eyes. The hardships of the characters dissolve together with the last traditions, in a town trod by individualism and political institutions.
Antonio Carnemolla (Ragusa, 1980), after lazily getting his diploma to be a surveyor, realizes – as an autodidact – some short films: “Vojna” (2001) and “Marsaharillah” (2002). In 2003 he makes a documentary film about the last fishermen in Marina di Ragusa, “Mari Bruciatu”. In 2006 writes and directs a short movie for Raiuno, “Mister Parkinson”, produced by Telethon. In 2007 he realizes “Hamim”, dedicated to the beauty of dreams and genuineness of the street artist. He currently lives and works in Padova as a street artist.
