Mirko Artuso. Actor, director and visual artist; born in 1966 in Oderzo. He starterd his career as an actor and writer in 1987 with the company Laboratorio Teatro Settimo in Turin; some of the shows were directed by Gabriele Vacis. He has collaborated with actors and directors such as Laura Curino, Marco Paolini, Eugenio Allegri, Marco Baliani, Cesar Brie, Carlo Boso, Enzo Toma. Since a long time he has tried to concentrate his work on the meeting of different people and according to this idea he has dedicated an important part of his activities to the creation of formative workshops and shows with disabled people. He has recently presented Libera Nos a show made out of Luigi Meneghello's works, together with Natalino Salasso and with Gabriele Vacis' direction. As far as his experience in the movies is concerned, he has worked in Piccoli Maestri by Daniele Lucchetti and in La giusta distanza by Carlo Mazzacurati.
Luigi Cojazzi, born in 1766 in Friuli eastern hills. After a degree in Philosophy at Padua University he worked in the north of Colombia as an international observer in war areas. Once he came back to Italy he started to translate novels and essays. In 2007 he published his first novel Alluminio.
Nicolò Menniti Ippolito. He was born in 1957. He took a degree at Padua University in History of Cinema. Since 1980 he has started to work as a journalist and at present he collaborates with magazines such as Manifesto, Nuova Venezia, Mattino di Padova e Tribuna di Treviso, dealing with cinema, theatre, literature. He teaches History and Philosophy in a high school in Padua.
Mario Balsamo. Born in Latina in 1962. He took a degree in Philosophy in History of cinema.
Since November 2004 he has worked as a director in the programme Gente di Notte by Raitre. From 1996 to 1997 he realized and directed together with Francesco Cabras the tv programme about books called Leggermente. He collaborates to the following Rai programmes: Cara Giovanna, Italia Ore 6, Portomatto, Atlante, Pomeridiana, Pista! e Big!. He is the author of the historical novel Que viva Marcos (manifestolibri) which is about the neo-Zapatista revolution in Chiapas. From 1980 to 1983 he worked as assistant director in Luisa Mariani theatre company. He teaches documentary direction at Act in Cinecittà and directs documentaries workshops in Italy and abroad. Among his works: Storie arbereshe (doc., 2006); Mae Baratinha, una storia di Candomblé (doc., 2005), Ciao, ciao bambina (doc., 2004), Sotto il cielo di Baghdad, realized together with Stefano Scialotti (doc., 2003), Il villaggio dei disobbedienti (doc., 2002).
Federico Ferrone. He was born in Florence in 1981. He took a degree at Bologna University and at the Institute Etudes Politiques in Paris. In 2004 he worked as assistant director in the documentary series Histoires en Méditerranée, produced in Tunisi by CTF. His first documentary Banliyo- Banlieue has won the price Cinemavvenire at Venice 2004 Cinema Festival and the price Videopolis in 2005. His second film is Merica. He has been selected in lots of international festivals, receiving two prices. He has collaborated with the newspapers L'Unità and Corriere della Sera.
Rossella Schillaci (Turin 1973). She took a degree in Visual Anthropology and she has studied at I Cammelli School (social documentation school), directed by Daniele Segre. She has attended a master in Visual Anthropology in England and after this experience she has realized the documentary Ascuntami (2000), which has been selected and awarded in different Italian festivals (Turin, Biennale Young Artists, Invideo). She has worked in Lisbon by a documentary production company. Now she is working as assistant director in Rai and Mediaset productions and she collaborates with Statale University in Milan and with the Lombardy Region Archives of Social History and Ethnography. Among her works: Euro Blows over Stromboli (doc., 2001), Living Beyond Borders (doc., 2004), Pratica e maestria (doc., 2005), winner of the Bartok price at Bilan du Film Ethnographique in Paris e Albasuite (ep. Vjesh-canto, doc., 2007).
