Here we are again with the the much appreciated Euganea Movie Movement, the traveling festival that will project around 40 amazing films between the 8th and the 15th of July, in one of the best looking spots on the Colli Euganei, the volcanic hills near Padua.
Increasing is the number of works that arrived to the festival for selection, and increasing is the quality of them! Having to select 40 works among the 700 fiction shorts, animation short and documentaries that arrived, was really hard.
They have come both from Italy and from abroad (Great Britain, Sweden, France, Spain, Germany, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Hungary, Brazil, Israel, Turkey, Azerbaijan) making our festival proud to be really international!
Now two qualified juries with members like professional filmmakers and technicians as well as cinema historians and university professors will have to choose the winners!
During the last evening the Best Short Film and the Best Documentary will receive their respective Awards, and a special one will be assigned by the EMM association to the Best Animation Film.
The audience can vote every night at the end of projection time and the Audience Award will be handed out on the last evening as well.
We are also proud to present these special events:
the Grimoon will perform with their sophisticated sounds accompanied by art videos. The concert is on Friday the 13th of July after projection time (Cava della Rocca).
Night Off is a special "out of competition" projection dedicated to the weirdest and most original short film arrived this year. It will take place on Saturday the 14th of july after projection time (Cava della Rocca).
We would like to signal to all animation lovers our Animation Night, evening dedicated to the exquisite animation works that arrived to the festival. It will take place on Wednesday the 11th of July in Este.
We would like to remind everyone that all events are free!
Euganea Movie Movement together with the support of City of Monselice, culture department, and with the collaboration of Battaglia Terme and Este city councils, is once again confirmed to be an important rendezvous for the development and spreading of cinematographic culture in our territory.
