During a journey by train the character, wrapped in the flatness of the landscape and the muffled atmosphere of the carriage, remembers some conversations he had with some young interlocutors . What emerges is thus a rich portrait of the character, revealing the depth of his thoughts and placing him - both culturally and emotionally - inside his land, the Polesine.

On May 28th in Brescia, in Piazza della Loggia, a bomb explodes during an election rally. Eight people die. A character, who wanders confused in visionary landscapes with rash movements, says he has witnessed the bombing. He has no voice and his thoughts are hallucinations. In his aimless wanderings he will realise he is one of the victims. The violent death and the undetermined identity of the terrorists will leave him immersed in this limbo.
